i want to stick the 00-01 ls v8 setup in a 68 mustang!!!! i think it will fit, but.... before i spend 2000 on an engine, i would like a measurement... smart right? i have a bad feeling about this.... who is gonna tell me the good news that this motor will not run standalone.....

OK. I will. You'll also need at least a stand alone engine management computer.

the LS uses a fairly sophisicated databus to allow the PCM communicate with a series of other modules - traction control, FEM, REM, .... most of the wiring in a 'negative switched' circuit.

if your gonna make a 'track only' car you may be able to create a standalone EMC - but if your trying to make a daily driver ----- yikes....


the SCT Flasher will only work if your gonna take a LS PCM....
