If things work out it looks like Fiat will be back in the US after being absent for 24 years. I know many here have had little or no experience with Fiat because of this, even though they are a global manufacturer of many products.

Fiat also owns Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo, so Chrysler will have some fast company.

In my time Fiat was know as Fix It Again Tony. I've never owned a Fiat but have had a Lancia and Alfa Romero which were fun cars, if not terrible reliable or easy to get parts for. They also rusted like mad dogs (I lived on the north coast of California at the time), but no worse than BMW's of the time.

Anyone else here have any experiences with Fiat while they were in the US or while you were in Europe?

Yeah, been in and driven many Fiats. (Cinquecento, Seicento, Punto etc) One of my closest friends in England has a Seicento. What a POS!!!

Only 'fast' Fiat I've been in was a heavily modified Uno Turbo i.e. - very quick 'point to point' car.
