The 4" pads (http://www.detailedimage.com/4-Pads-C81/) are easy to use and work with most rotary buffers and many orbital buffers, like the Porter Cable 7424. By consolidating the pressure over a smaller surface area you can get noticeably more cutting power from your Porter Cable 7424 with the the 4" pads (http://www.detailedimage.com/4-Pads-C81/).
