PetesSweets86 April 21st, 2009, 12:54 AM Tried the search feature but that just gave me an assload of result so I'll just state a new thread:
I'm looking to get some Nokya Halogen bulbs in the Stage 2 Cosmic White for the LS (Most likely high beams and lows) but I do not know much of the differences between the H1-H13 and the 9004 to 9007) i'd appreciate any help as to which one works for the LS or if any do which would be best recommended for an Untra clear white (Since i can't have red headlights legally :P) Thanks in advance for any and all help ;-D
P.S. once I find out I will be ordering them with the Plug/Play wiring harness ;-D
TDUB April 21st, 2009, 01:43 AM The LS low beams are bulb size 9006, the high beams are 9005. The fogs are size 9145.
PetesSweets86 April 21st, 2009, 01:54 AM sweet thanks :-D
JWerner2 April 21st, 2009, 08:21 AM 9005 fits the fogs also.
If you get the stage 2's make sure you get the heavy duty harness.

JWerner2 April 21st, 2009, 09:20 AM Those are the cosmic Monk?
Those look nice. They dont look that far off from my Nokya's kelvin wise but they look much more crisp and bright!
I was under the impression that they were almost purple.

Are these bulbs just screw in and use ? or Do I need to Install a ballast?
JWerner2 April 21st, 2009, 10:03 AM It just replaces the bulbs that come with the car.

VBut are the Stripes straight? LOL jk..So will these give me a true WHITE light?
TDUB April 21st, 2009, 11:03 AM Does anybody have the link to the LS LED conversion thread? Ive searched and searched but can't seem to find it.
PetesSweets86 April 21st, 2009, 11:03 AM For a stage two (or anything higher than 65W) you will need a heavy duty wiring harness. I'll be buying the plug/play wiring harness that won't need any modification of the wires :-D

You mean LED angel eyes or HIDs or LED headlights?

I have the normal Nokya 6,000 kelvin 9006 bulbs ( low beam ). They are the stage ones and when on they are white but when off you get the blue hue in the reflector bowl Like you'll see in the pic. The high beams are the stage two hyper yellow Nokyas. I had them in my fogs but I got bulbs to match the lows anyway. You can see that with the lower levels of light you dont get that blue tint to the reflector bowl of the fog lights.
I also have the plug and play harness for the Yellow's. I forget where I got them but I got the Nokya brand for 20$ with free shipping.
If you google them repete you will find a few places that have them for relatively the same price.
IMO LS_Monks Cosmics are a bit whiter and a bit more crisp.
FALECF4 April 21st, 2009, 02:42 PM That looks MEAN with the yellow color in the headlight. KInda makes your car look pissed off!

No there is a thread about LED replacements for all of the LSes bulbs interior and exterior and I can't find it.

Actually I found the site I wanna order from just didn't know which bulbs were for which...And with the blue hue when off I didn't wanna get that unless it's a blue hue for my hi beams.....which ones would be LEGAL for a blue hue in the Hi beams? I wish I could do red but that wont' be legal...I thought a RED/SILVER would make a good choice but I think BLUE/SILVER would be even better :-D
JWerner2 April 22nd, 2009, 07:02 AM The blue is from the bulbs tint. The bulbs have a very light tint/filter to filter out yellow light which is why the higher you go in kelvins the less visible output is produced. When sun light shines through them the blue shines through and then off of the reflector. Its only noticeable at certain angles and in some pics. You see in my sig pic it don't have it. I was using it all as example that 6,000k's are not blue in output despite the color of the bulb itself.
Technically straight up blue output is illegal everywhere in the US. So is any color on the kelvin scale above that.
PetesSweets86 April 22nd, 2009, 01:15 PM Gotchtya...well I just ordered Hi/Lows from this site and got em for a great deal:

Dude you know those aren't HID headlights right? They're basically just a colored version of the stock headlights. I've seen HIDs that are $75 per set.
PetesSweets86 April 22nd, 2009, 01:35 PM That's what I was going for silly. I don't want HIDs right now (not until I get Angel eyes put in because of all the mounting and wiring I have to do) But I wanted some Whiter bulbs......

If I would've known that I would've sold you the ones that came with a set of headlights I bought 2 years ago. They've been sitting in my house ever since.
PetesSweets86 April 22nd, 2009, 01:39 PM could make them into a halloween decoration :P
TDUB April 22nd, 2009, 01:50 PM Ehh... they're blue. You could always cancel your order and buy them. I guarantee they'll be a hell of a lot cheaper than what you just paid.

Umm, I would have found a better deal myself but you realize these bulbs are far superior to the stock ones right? About 100X over.
He is getting the bulbs and the harness needed for the higher watts. Again I could have found a slightly better deal but you cant down play them compared to the stockers and for the price compared to HIDs they are worth it!
PetesSweets86 April 22nd, 2009, 01:53 PM Thanks for mentioning that Werner!
