I have a pinhole in my left front wheel. I thought the tire leaked at the bead but the tire guy showed me. Dammit I was just starting to get caught up on the maintenance on this thing before I go to Iraq again. Oh well....Rant over.

Anyone have a wheel for sale cheap?

Is it a crack or an actual pin hole?

If it's on the inside (Non Chrome) I'd get it welded... If it is on the Chrome side your screwed.

How the heck does one get a hole in these thick rims?

I wish I knew. I presume it goes from the inside where the air goes and it comes out right on the narrow part of the lip that sticks out. IE: where the wheel weights would go. And yes it is a chrome rim.

Do you think JB weld would actually work? That would mean getting the tire broken down JB welding it and then hoping the tire shop wont see it and tell me Im crazy...LOL.

If it's not an actual crack and it's just a pinhole leak, JB Weld would work IMO.

A good quality clear epoxy will work as well....

It's not as uncommon as you might think.

Back in the 80's-90's it was pretty common for a mustang wheel to leak a few years down the road.

My 84 SVO had a leaking wheel, it took me about 3 years to finally track it down and epoxy the leaking spot.

I have seen FACTORY wheels that had epoxy all along the weld seams to seal them...

Are you a seabee?

I was stationed at GTMO in 99 and some of my best friends down there were seebeas.

No, Im actually in the Army. My dad was a seabee, that picture was taken at the museum for what used to be The Quonset Point Naval Air Station, in Rhode Island.
