like i said in previous treads, i got a 2000 ls and i am about to put an engine in it, is there any advantages in the gen 2 engine, would it be that difficult, i know that the intake is a little different, other than that what else is different

The intake is not a little different, it's very different. There's also the variable valve timing, throttle by wire, ...
I think that you could probably do it, if you switched out almost all of the electronics in the car. It would be cheaper to sell yours and buy a working gen II.

You're gonna pay out the ass with that switch
