To you guys who are using 245/45/17 size tires instead of the stock size (235/50/17); have you found any peculiarities related to the small difference in size? Obviously, there are far more tire choices but, are there any performance advantages or disadvantages with the different size?? How's the ride? ..Speedo accuracy etc. Thanks.

I think the smaller tire could look bad in the fender well - but I am lowered 2" so the fender well is filled.

There are a lot more performance tires based on the 245/45/17...

I saw a black LS here in Dallas today with chrome factory rims and 235/45/17's. They did indeed look small. I'm thinking that the 245/45/17's wouldn't look as small since they're closer to the factory size.

I run 235/45/17. Definitely needs a drop though, tires look too small for the wheel wells with out the drop.
