I finally got this thing,(McLaren Grill) back from getting chrome painted and smoke anodized. I put the little lincoln tag on the bumper to cover up the 2 holes for the license plate. The emblem is off a 76 Lincoln

it looks good bro but if i had one i would have painted the chrome surrounding on the grill to match the car paint i think it would look much better

This color was only avaliable from ford for 2 years. You don't see it much. That is one of the reasons I like it

It is just a little long but it looks cool because it stands out and gives it more dimension. I used 3m vhb to hold it on. Shimmed it up with 3 pieces.

When I did the Mclaren grille and LSE bumper I went with the body color surround and the black center to balance the lower grille. Straight forward and simple. No regrets. Just wish the paint would hold up as good as the original bumper did......Can't have everything I guess.

No, my car is already named Abe. You can't take it. Car looks good. I'd rather have the holes than the lincoln badge on the front bumper though.

One thing I would sometime consider is a different color for the mesh also. Something black be it flat mate or what ever. Just something that dont have as much shine to it. It kind of tosses off the definition a bit and dont match the contrast the body color brings IMO.


Actually maybe that would look good if the surround is matched???


Either way I give you props for doing something different with that grille and the mesh. Taking a two piece and meshing the center with just the right mesh was something I always thought some people should consider over the flat out overlays of very fine mesh and such.

Looks like someone with too much coffee in their system cut that bottom grille :confused:

The chrome surround/mclaren center is definitely unique. I am more of a fan of the painted surround, but only because I am not a fan of chrome. So if the chrome look is what you like, then great! Here is mine with painted surround, and blacked out lower grille:

Have you seen any silver LS's with the Razzi kit?

I was thinking of getting it but having the lower grill black and use a mold to smooth it out so you don't see the lines nor the chrome piece on the bumper.....thought I'd get it more flush.....

You are suppose to remove the lower grille for the install of the RAZZI kit. I niched mine to get the front piece to fit over it.

Heres pictures of a silver LS without the chrome trim.

Doesn't look as flush with a Silver LS as it does with your Burgundy...how lame.......

Owell the 2003+ front fascia still will look nice..just the damn lower grill has such a huge as gap...maybe I should tweak it.....

The side skirts just don't look right on a light color LS. Use a set of Wings West side skirts with the Razzi front and rear. That would look a whole lot better on a silver LS.

We'll see :-D
