kustomizingkid April 6th, 2009, 03:38 PM I need to do some major cleaning under hood and as I have been evaluating what needs to be repainted/repaired/replaced I looked over all the under hood decals and they are all in very shoddy condition. So what do you guys think, take them off? Leave the shoddy ones on? Try and get them reproduced?
ford nut April 6th, 2009, 03:40 PM Take them off and forget about it.
Aquabrit April 6th, 2009, 05:21 PM Take the shabby ones off. Don't need 'em.
k9t8m April 6th, 2009, 05:25 PM They have part numbers. Stuff like that most likely will still be available from ford. Usually they arent to unreasonably priced. usually.....
ground_zero298 April 6th, 2009, 05:29 PM If you get some pictures of them I'll do the lettering up real nice in illustrator and send you the files. Then you can have someplace print them for you. Will also need the sizes of them.
shiryu0 April 6th, 2009, 06:16 PM they should have a part #............i bet theyre discontinued! :D

RedCellSix April 6th, 2009, 06:25 PM I saved a picture of an underhood decal, a large one. The LMS cobra hood is red with a black decal. It's got the Cobra/Lincoln design with the words Mark VIII. Thought it might belong to k9t8m. Looks real nice.

kustomizingkid April 6th, 2009, 10:57 PM Hmmm.... gonna have to shout Max and see if they are available... I kinda want to keep the decals.

Frat-man-du April 7th, 2009, 01:26 PM I was the same way a few years ago when I did my 85 T-Bird. I wanted the stock show appearance. I was able to acquire the belt and emission decals from Ford (even after 15 years) but I had to make the valve cover and date labels myself.
kustomizingkid April 7th, 2009, 04:04 PM I wish I was home and could get the part numbers... who has a 98 that wants to go pop their hood :)
98LSC32V April 7th, 2009, 07:18 PM I have a Sniper Tuned decal, Protected by Amsoil decal, and a Cobrastar decal... all the decals I need lol...
