After sensor lowering, the rear drops when parked

Hey guys, I sensor lowered the car a few months ago and ever since then the rear drops when the car is parked. The driver side rear seems to flatten out more the passenger side. I don't think it's a solenoid because I've never heard the bags vent out. I know what it sounds like. But then again, I don't think it's a leak because the bags pump right up when started with little trouble and stay filled while the car runs. If it's a leak it's a really tiny leak that hasn't gotten any worse over the months. Any ideas before I buy new bags?

When you drop the car lower it can happen to open up cracks in the bags that were previously closed up..... the cars just don't loose air magically, get out some soapy water and find that leak.

the stay filled because while you drive down the road your compressor is working overtime keeping the ride height correct.

If you doubt this, let your car lower itself to parked height, then turn the air ride switch off, then drive the car.

right now it sounds like you have a small leak, I promise it wont get better over time, nor will putting off the repair make your compressor lead a long happy life.

a rear bag is right about 100.00, do yourself a favor and put one in..now.
next week might be too late for your compressor, and that'll add alot to the repair cost.

procrastination and hesitation are not your friend

It mentions something in the tech of sensor lowering that it can cause old cracks *new leaks* to develop...

Might want to raise it back in up until you can get new bags, then lower it with the new bags so they get use to that fold..

I'll probably replace the bag I'm just not sure the bag is the problem. It is not a slow drop. It is a sudden drop. But like I said, I never caught bag venting, so I'm not sure if it is the solenoid either.

AH HA! I caught it dropping today. Its got to be a busted solenoid. I was working on the car and I closed the door, then I hear an ever so subtle "pssssst." It's not a leak. It's venting when it is not supposed to be. Anyone wanna sell me a solenoid?

i have a bunch but i will put money on it that if you change it, the car is still gonna drop. if all you did was sensor lower the car, why is the solenoid busted now and not before you lowered it? doesnt make sense, but lowering the air ride and having a sudden drop is very much a sense maker considering when it was higher off the ground it was sealing a crack in the bag. a good size split will make a bag drop fast. i dont believe its a solenoid, but i'm a mark VIII idiot anyway!
