I have a 1997 Mark VIII and the passenger side headlight went out, went to auto part store bought lightbulb took the car totally apart to change out a lightbulb and it's a dealer item. Called Dealer and they want $ 759 for a high intensity bulb with connector they called it a wiring harness. What are my options other than this? My wife freaked out at a $759 lightbulb.

I happened to be at a Lincoln parts counter today looking for the plastic piece that keeps water off the bulb and out of the housing. (mine's broken allowing moisture in) They told me it comes with the bulb for $243 so don't pay $700+ for this. I didn't buy it because my bulb is OK so I just sealed it up with silicone.
