I did a google search for "focus on the flintstones" and "harland devane" and the only link it gave me was to that Newsweek article.

My opinion: the author dug up a ridiculous story to discredit other groups like Focus on the Family. His point, "see how stupid all of these groups are?" This guy has an agenda. Focus on the Flintstones probably is a group of 2 funded by those same 2. What a waste of space in Newsweek. This is not news.
