Fuel Computer Data error

I was driving my car home last night and when I pulled up to my house my car started to shake like I was out of gas and I had more than a half tank I know for a fact. I looked up on my dash and it read "Fuel Computer Data Error". Now my car won't start at all. I have no idea what this is and I don't want to pay someone an arm and a leg just to come look at it and its something minor. So if you guys could help me out I would really apprieciate it. Thanks.

My first thing would be to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then if that didnt work, I would take out the 12 gauge...no, really, then I would be lost.

check fuses. mainly for the REM.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to 'on'?

The next steps is to test for fuel pressure at the rail.

What does the fuel pump prime sound like?

When you turn your key, you hear kind of a "whooom" sound that has kind of an electronic sounding buzz to it. Pretty sure that's the sound the fuel pump makes (it seems like all Ford's I've been in/driven make the same sound).

right - this is when you turn the key from off-to-on (not start). You should hear a "PSSST" as the fuel pump primes. Coming from the rear passenger seat.

checking the REM fuses, fuel pump fuses, interial cutoff (drivers footwell), ...

Fuses don't blow for no reason. You should check for bad wiring, or a failing fuel pump.
