If I have a warranty issue and I flash back to stock before going to the dealer, how long if there is a lenght of time/miles do I need to drive to have the dealer not be able to data log my flash? I could see them trying to void my warranty on my trans. because of my program. Do they even do a full data log check or only a code check?

I do not believe they can tell if you have 'flashed' or not - but it does reset your emissions readiness drive cycle counter - similar to disconnecting the battery.
hereis the post with the drive cycle requirements - > http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showpost.php?p=491172&postcount=3

A dealer has no way of "seeing" that you have custom programming.... Now I wouldn't bring my car in to a dealership with and SCT sticker on the car....

So, your saying I can bring my car to the dealer with the re-flash installed and they would not be able to tell? I was always led to believe they could tell.

I did yesterday and they never said boo. Flashed the stock tune back in the morning and drove it to the dealer. They did their own reflash and I'll flash the tune back as soon as I know it's ok to.

Don't be surprised if your car doesn't start with a new factory up date re flash. If it doesn't contact your tuner to adjust your custom tune to new factory flash.

You're a genius Pete, by your theory because I cant see you, you must not exist and nobody else could find you. I would be happy if your theory had any merit but unfortunately you do exist and we must all put up with your silly postings.

use the xcal to "read the vehicles strategy"..before you take it to the dealer.
THEN..BEFORE you flash the custom tune to the car "RE-READ" the strategy and make SURE they match.
IF they do not match do NOT flash the custom tune back to your car until you've gotten an updated tune that matches your "new strategy" otherwise you'll have the "dreaded no start" issue that has been mentioned above.

psh genius? na...I just like poking fun with ppl that have problems......such as smoking weed around a smoker who's going cold turkey....or drink around a guy from an AA meeting, or even eat some delicious food around a person on a extreme diet
it's all fun and games beeper...don't need to bend over and take it in the @ss so quickly now :-D

i was told by a trusted friend at the dealer that they can tell if a tune has been on your car through the data log.. maybe he is misinformed?? if this is true i will be getting a tune soon
