Trans + TC install - questions...

Soon I will be installing a 99 4R70W into my 93 Mark 8.

I have the 99 trans and am waiting on a separator plate kit from BOC.

The junk yard said it had 36k on it and when I removed the pan I found the dipstick widget... plus the fluid looked pretty clean.

Is there anything I should so in the mean time to check this trans out and make sure everything is alright?

I have a replacement TCC solenoid - how do I install that with the circuit board style wiring? (I'm sure it's obvious but I don't want to screw it up)

I'm also getting an Art Carr converter soon. How do I install that? Does it just click into place? Any tips and tricks would be helpful there.

Finally - Should I have a shop do this? I was quoted $350 for the job, but money is getting tight and I was thinking I could do this myself. Then again, if i screw it up it's my own fault.

Thanks!

For the TCC I have put a 98 mark trans into a 94 i just bought a new TCC for a 94 and cut away the plastic where the wires plug in exposing the pins so it would plug into the circuti board hope this helps.

I've decided on having a shop install the trans & TC. I'm prepping the trans with my BOC separator plate kit.

Is there anything else I should do while its out of the car?
