That's km/h. 100 km/h is about 60mph, so 340 is about 210mph.

They did...in Montana. As long as the sun was up you could pretty much drive as fast as you wanted. But a couple of scary looking wrecks got the State legislatures panties in a bunch and they dropped the limit to 75...

Yes...alot of times. I was stationed in Idaho for six years (you can damn near go as fast as you want there too). Made lots of trips out there. I had the same thing happen doing about 130mph on a Honda Rune... Made me feel like I was in Mexico. They set up that system to alleviate the court sytem of minor infractions. The police won't even give you a reciept. If you're a state resident you can even buy a booklet of "get out of jail free" cards that you just hand the officer like a gift certificate... Cool Christmas present if you ask me...

:) i was there this summer...and definatly, no cops...we had rented a 300C hemi for that leg of our trip, and i was bustin out about 130-140 the length of the state, saw only one cop...and it was an intrepid. i was passing him at about 95 in a 75, he didnt even give us a second look :). We DEFINATLY need one back out east! though interstate-95 IS close to it.
