Hood lifter struts or gas shocks?

Engine hood on my 99 continental won't stay up, so I'm going to have to replace the two lifter struts. My question is, do these simply snap on, or is it a more difficult job? I would appreciate any input as to making this job, as easy as possible. I've got nearly zero mechanical skills, but this seems like it should be really easy. Am I right? Thanks again, Bill.

I took a look at my struts. Looks like a plastic clip then maybe a screw holding them on. Should be a simple install. Just make sure the hood don't donk you on the head when you take a strut off.

Screwdriver and a brother to hold the hood up was all it took. Really easy, maybe 3 minutes. Thanks alot, you really helped. Need 2 people to do this, or a broomstick or something to keep the hood up while you're taking the struts out. Thanks again, Bill.
