Hey All,
I have a 2004 Lincoln LS that is shifting very odd in first gear.
Symptom: If I do not stomp on the gas from a stop the car is "jumpy" until it shifts into 2nd gear.
Any ideas?
FYI, the car is still under warranty.

Take it to the dealer.

Take it to the dealer.
I planned on bringing it in, but would like to have some kind of idea as to what is wrong.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

There are not any "bad" lights on. It is really weird, it only does this when I keep the RPM's low in 1st gear. Other then that the vehicle drives like a million bucks.
Cheers!

I always thought that even the 03-06's still started in 2nd gear?

TBW is a little weird that way...not sure if that is what you are descibing.

All LSes start in 1st gear. Just Gen1s don't with SST.

+1 It takes some getting used to. I still don't like it but you learn to drive the car so it's annoying.
