I really dont want to put a new headunit in my 2001 ls but I dont have a cd player. Does anyone have any pics of their headunit installed?

Also, can any 6 disc changer be connected to the stock head unit (has cd button) without rigging it? adapters?

ya i know what you mean, i didn't want to replace mine either but decided to put in navigation on my 2000. What i would do if your just wanting a cd player is but the changer for ford and have a factory 6 disc changer and keep it looking clean.

yeah..I have the dealer which will do the install for free because i asked them before i bought the car. However, i do not want to bring a changer in that they cant install. At the same time, a ford changer is pretty expensive.. enough to make me wonder if i should used $200+ on something else

I bought an aftermarket radio because my factory 6 disc changer kept skipping and scratching my cds. I put in a sony. The dash kit it nice, and has a pocket below it to hold stuff, cell phone and wallet for me. I'll post pics sometime soon.

Here are pics of my HU, i am using an older kenwood hu. its cool when the car is off it flipps the faceplate around and looks like a flat surface, and when you turn the car on it is motorized and rotates why my steering wheel is moving. I do not plan on keeping this headunit long because i am going to shell out some cash and get a Pioneer AVIC-N1.It is a DVD player and TV and Navigation, and CD all in one plus it does cool things like show guages. New law in 1-1-2005 states that there can't be any screen in drivers vision unless its a navigation... Expensive unit its like $1500 on ebay.

Well as soon as item gets shipped i will be installing a double din head unit and will post some pics of how it turns out. Thanks to whatsupadrian here think i have convinved myself that it can be done with minor modifications. I am going with the new 2005 models of the eclipse dvd and navigational head unit.. pretty nice little unit. hope the darn thing will fit..lol
