Can you catch them with your fingernail? Is it on the actual mirror or on the painted part? Bob Hubbard February 11th, 2009, 09:51 PM They are on the mirror and I can't feel them at all. They were caused by my German Shepherd. When she sticks her head out the window, her front paw hits the mirror. I tried a product (3M fine cut rubbing compound) I use on the body of the car and truck to remove scratches but, it didn't work on the mirror. Bob. Green Machine April 2nd, 2009, 09:09 AM try some Jewelers rouge on a cloth buffing wheel or sometimes cigarette ashes wet on a cloth will work. I used to work at PPG Auto Glass and we had good luck with both. hope that helps.
