The 96 Mark is throwing a bad 02 sensor CEL, can I get the Bosch units or is Motorcraft the way to go?

Well Motocraft is usually always the best. I have Bosch and they are fine.

You only need to replace the front two. Make sure you rent the tools to do it, it helps a lot.

I would use motorcraft..

my first gen had one bad sensor, I watched it with the scan tool.. it was slow and lazy.

so I got two bosch sensors, and replaced the slow lazy sensor and kept the other for a spare.
The new bosch sensor was slow and lazy like the old one.
I pulled it out and put the other one in there and it was slow and lazy.
I took them back to Oreilly's and got a motorcraft 02 and it solved the issue.

After swapping the passenger side 02 THREE TIMES I was sold on the motorcraft 02..

it may have been as simple as the plugs didn't connect as well...but none the less my first gen didn't like the bosch 02's

NO.. that was the oil pressure sending unit after changing the adapter gasket.

Imagin my horror with a OIL LIGHT glaring me in the face upon start up.
(it was grounding on the oil pan and turning the light on)

I was like WTF? that's the quietest engine with ZERO oil pressure that I've ever heard!

The passenger side is the worst....how were you getting at the plug ?
You got skinny hands ?
Or did you get your better half to do it for you ?

Had a lazy O2 throwing a code, 120,000 miles-replaced both foward )2's with Bosch, no problems at all-they are real cute to remove, however, I did not drop the exhaust but it takes a lot of patience and many swear words to get the passenger side off on a Gen One. Good luck
