P2BFD fuel air metering aux emission control or something. What does that mean and how should I fix it?
P0654 RPM output circut. I dont know anything about this one. Can anyone help??

lets see where to start.....P2BFD isnt a code, how did you get that? as for the rpm output code maybe a cam sensor? dunno more confused about the P2BFD

I saw the code it was there. It is a mark viii specific code.

Well Chicken is a Ford tech.... so I think he knows how to look up codes. I found the same, nothing on P2BFD.

Kracker got some funky codes with letters in them from his 98 mark 8...
Never did track down what was doing that...

Is your car chipped, by any chance? I half wonder if a goofy PCM connection is throwing both of these codes, because that P2BFD is definitely not a real code.
Just for luck (and I hate even thinking about this) but I'd be curious to know what a diagnostic from the stealership would tell you.

Does your car always start up fine? With no pcm your car wont start.

Actually the PCM probably is screwed......... The P0654 is the tach circuit and unless it is shorted somethings wrong in the computer, the 2BFD is the control circuit for the air pump and is a specific Mark VIII, mustang Cobra hard wire code.
