Cobra intake

Will a 99-01 Cobra Intake Manifold work on a 94 4 cam? I would like to swap out to the cobra intake and the prices are much better for the later stuff that the earlier 96 manifolds. Is there any big differences in the performance between the two Cobra intakes. The 96 looks better but they are also pricey and can be hard to find at a respectable price

99+ cars have C heads and use C headed intakes.No,you can't use 99+ intake on B heads[93-98 heads]

So, what you wanna do is swap to the "C" heads and then use a 99-01 manifold :)

Oh and swap the cams while you're in there.

And... oh, hell, just build the internals while you're at it.

Not entirely true..........

Tumble port heads are putting down 25-30 horsepower more than B heads out of the box.

I've been thinking about slapping my new C heads on to my 94, and see what happens. I just have to get a cobra intake.............

With some port work B heads will outflow and out perform C heads hands down.

Meh,

You can port the c heads as well. I just don't want to deal with the porting aspect of it. That and the C head cobra intakes flow MUCh better than the B head cobras.

I'm still on the fence about it tho.

With an Extrudehone job those B heads and intake should flow really well.

Ok, well the head change is out , I guess I'll just pay the bigger bucks for 96 Cobra manifold then.

Thanks troops

Ya, the B head cobra intake is probably better. Forgot to also mention with a head swap you will need new exhaust manifolds which in turn means exhaust work. In case ya did not know that. $$
