Since the engine in the Mark VIII is out of the Cobra wouldn't pretty much any performance part, ie., cams, headers, etc fit on the Mark VIII as well? j/w so I know what I can/cannot do once I get some more money to work on it

Cams....yes. Headers....yes & no....yes to the passenger side, but no on the drivers side. You can purchase a set of Cobra headers, but they need modified to fit around the steering shaft on the drivers side.

Or, you can either get in touch with some of the guys that are custom building headers for the Mark for @ $900....long tube (full length) or you can go to Kooks and get a set of 3/4 length for as little as $565 (uncoated) or $715 (coated).

Hope that helps.

since the engines are modular yes, pretty much anything will fit, however, will it fit in the car is the question! Internal components would be fine but once you start doing things around the engine bay is where you may run into problems

You may want to check out Supercoupeperformance.com . They have the Kook's custom 3/4 Mark Headers, ignition products, new aluminum 3 piece UD pulley sets, and some other goodies for the Mark. Lincolnmotorsport.com is another spot to look around for nice bolt-on accessories. Hope that helps a bit, pretty general.
