dealer only - unfortunately the LS is the only Ford product that nthe user cannot add new FOB to. Bring all your keys as they all have to be added or re-added at once.

You can do it yourself if you already have two keys and remotes. Check your owner's manual, it's really easy (if you already have 2 sets).

incorrect. the LS is the only Ford that you CANNOT do it yourself. Many other fords you can reprogram the FOBs by turning the ignition on and off a set number of times - not the LS.

So you're saying my owner's manual and Lincoln dealer are wrong? Or perhaps you can only do it on certain years. Mine's a 2000.

Pages 105-107 of the '00 owners manual describe the process for programming new keys. You need 2 good ones. You put in one key, turn to run, wait one second, remove. Repeat with other key. Put in new key and turn to run, hold there at least one second. Done.

It doesn't say anything about programming the remotes, so maybe you can't do it yourself.

correct - you CANNOT add or remove key FOB yourself - it's a dealer only option like I stated in my eariler post.

From your '00 owner's manual:

Page 105 Replacing lost transmitters
If a remote transmitter has been lost and you would like to remove it from the vehicle’s memory or you would like to purchase additional transmitters for your vehicle (up to four may be programmed into memory), take all your vehicle’s transmitters to your dealer for programming. It will be necessary for your dealer to reprogram all the remote transmitters to your vehicle while performing this service.

Yeah I found where it specifically says you can't program the remotes yourself.
