You mean, you can't fit 18 gallons in, and after you're done filling, you only have 15 gallons?

Did all marks get a plastic tank? If not, maybe you dented yours. Ha.

Otherwise you still have 3 gallons in, and the sending unit is telling you it's empty.

usally i fill up at 2-3 gallons, but i fill it up until the pump cuts off, and the information center only says 15 gallons, some times it will say full fuel tank

Ah. yeah. You probably have a full fuel tank, and it's just confused.

I don't know that I'd worry so much about that, because it probably recognizes the other 3 gallons throughout the use of that tank of gas.

One thing you can try ..

reset the 'gallons used' ...

fill up ...

use it up..

when you fill up again, and it says you have an 'empty tank' .. see how many gallons it claims you used. Then see how many gallons you can fit. and then see if it's right or wrong with that variable of 'gallons used' taken into consideration.

You should see what the real problem is after that.

don't pump to fast you can create gas bubbles then the pump will shut off to soon and get gas at night when the temp is down cause gas is sold by volume not weight

But ground temp has an average temp and stays at that temp. Especially with thousands of gallons cooling each other. It doesn't have time to warm up before it reaches your tank.

Exactly. I have even heard to fill on a full moon or not... <sigh>

Mine will always hold 18 gallons, It doesn't give me any troubles. Some other cars have had issues when filling up though. I have noticed that gas stations will vary though, some will cut off just before it's full, some will cut off several gallons under & some won't shut off at all until it spews all over. I only use chevron fuel & only go to 2 chevron stations that are trusted.

I am guessing that your gauge/gallon calculator is off.

The whole day night gas fuel up thing is a myth! The fuel is stored underground & is always cool. There have been many studies done on this & the myth has always been busted.

I have never actually listened to the day night thing just something I read on Kare11.com one day. I guess I never thought about it much but I agree with you all that gas should stay the same temp cause its underground.
