yes thats what they look like and it kind of sucks to change so have patience. its going to require you removing the door panel, and unbolting the door latch mechanism, those are the ones you see in the door jam when you open the door, 3 torque's head and below those about 6 inches is a huge rivet, you need to drill the rivet out, thats what holds the door lock solenoid to the inside door shell. its not easy, but do-able

Have fun, I'm sure jamie has a few he will sell you. I think I would rather pull a tranny then go back into the door. I had to replace my interior door handles and door ajar switchs after 10 hours I finished.

never did one on a mark, but did the same style on a taurus and i didnt have to drill the rivet,i was able to remove the solenoid from that metal tab bracket that you can see in the pic above,it is a c clamp bracket that can be flexed enough to pull the solenoid off of it,it looks exactly like the taurus i did,not sure if that can be done on the mark, but dont see why not???

I'm positive I have something wrong with my door lock on the passengers side. I ended up ripping off the door panel and ripping out wires and it was still making this horrid noise, it stopped for a week and its doing it as we speak. Its the motor or something making a whining noise. Seeing that I can't open it from the outside anyway I'm hoping the motor will burn out in the next 30 minutes because I don't want to drive like that!
