Hey guys yet anouther question about abe (96 black LSC)

My sunroof clicks when opening like plastic gears stripping, I have to help it and then it catches. I bough a new motor on ebay replaced and checked were it goes up in the geared hole and it was not stripped>

anyone ever have same problem? and whats the fix?

I have seen posts here regarding that issue several times. I don't personally have a sunroof. Try using our search, keeping it simple (ie.) one word or so- sunroof etc. Also try using google with lincolns vs cadillacs too. Some of the members prefer not to rehash old items, instead letting you find it yourself. Either way, good luck. I just did a quick seach using sunroof and found multiple listings but I don't know how to transfer them to here. Gary in Elmira.

really kind of frustrating I live in fla and use my sunroof alot

pull the motor and help the sunroof and look at the teeth in the channel, but as far as i know all you can buy is the motor, glass, or the track assy, not individual parts of the track. also you need to know if its a factory, or aftermarket (lots had aftermarket ones that sucked, from new installed by the dealers) the stock one has the window switch between the map lights

Its a stock one, anybody got Parts??
