Here's a spy photo of the proposed Lincoln Mark IX which originally appeared in the March-April 1998 Continental Connector. It predicted the retro-car craze (Volkswagen's New Beetle, the new Ford Thunderbird, the BMW Austin Mini and the PT Cruiser). Parked in the background is a 1956 Continental Mark II. The Mark IX is a cabriolet with the look of the original 1940 Lincoln Continental - the first Mark. This prototype of the Mark IX is based on the discontinued Mark VIII platform. Production models may be based on the Lincoln LS platform. To see more detailed photo (larger, more shades of greyscale, 89K filesize),

Thanks for thinking about us Bro.
I'd bash you too but it was a human error. Check out places like The Philadelphia International Auto Show (http://www.phillyautoshow.com/home.asp). Here are some of the 178 shots the I took in 2004 (http://www.lscclub.org/pias/2004/). I would have LOVED the NAVICROSS ...

Probably had no interior at the time :)
The silver Mercury parked next to the gorgeous woman with a huge set of lungs ... had no engine and only steel rods for shocks.
