Is their a diffrent hood for a GENII?? Im guessing a same year cobra hood wont fit? I see the topic up there about a GENII hood but it looks dead plus i dont wanna pay $700 for a hood.

Guessing that the hood from a Mustang won't fit the Mark VIII is a very safe guess.
And I'm not aware of ANY GenII aftermarket hoods for the Gen II.

You can have a good body shop make one for you.

And unless LMS makes a handful of ones, don't expect any other company to do it. The market for it is extremely tiny.

there are no aftermarket hoods for a gen 2, and if you dont want to pay 700 bucks for one, i suggest getting it out of your head right now that the car will ever have a hood on it other than stock lol!

the stock ones are aluminum and are very light. so if you are looking for weight savings, its not worth it.

i made one 2 years ago, i made a 2 1/2 inch cowl out of a spare 98 hood i had in my shop, then i hung it on the wall for over a year and never did anything with it, eventually i took it down, knocked the weeks worth of work i did on it off with a huge hammer and cashed the hood in for scrap money!!! i have about 8 gen 2 hoods i will sell if anyone wants to attempt it.
