You all know awhile back i replaced the air ride with coil springs on rear. Boy they sure do rattle and when you hit a bump the left rear squeaks real bad. Any suggestions besides reinstalling air ride. Thanks

I have coils - no rattles, nothing. Rear shock mounts? a bad bushing somewhere? Something left loose? Check the rear end over.

do you have insulators on the rear coils?

If he has Eddie's kit then he should have metal plates at top, but nothing on the bottom.

When i fitted forum member chico's kit, i was puzzled by the lack of bottom rubber pad - Chico called American Air and they said its normal - new kits don't have it.

They show the rubber pad for the lower control arm in pictures, but when I put them in my old 95 for my old man last year, they didn't come with them. Luckily he had these rubberized over mitt things that I used instead. Works like a charm still!

I just bought Eddie's kit, but havent put it in yet, so is there something else I should buy first if it doesnt come with any rubber pads for the bottom?

Strutmasters 1.5" Lowered kit on my car. No noise problems at all.

Did you install the rubber isolators that are supposed to sit under the springs?

Did you rotate the springs to their proper orientation?

Are you sure you didn't install the springs upside down?

the springs are carrying the yatch around, theyre not rattling, something else is, bushing somewhere, shock mount, maybe sway bar link. And my kit came with the little rubber pad thingys.......

His and mine didn't, and if you put those suckers in without an rubber in between the coil and control arm, it's gonna make noise.

Where do I get the rubber at.? How do you install it. The directions didn't say anything about it. Wonder why the kit didn't include them.

Don't know why they didn't come with it. Like I said, my father had these rubberized things to grab hot stuff out of an oven, etc. i grabbed those and threw them into the rear lower control arms and sat the springs on top of them.

Go buy some thick rubber sheet. Cut it to approximately 5" x 5". Install under springs with proper spring seating position and enjoy.

Call Eddie. He'll walk you thru it.

I have 2 kits from Eddie and both came with Rubber Mats.

Hmmm don't know my first kit had the mats listed in the directions.

Didn't use the directions on the second kit.
