He built several motors for me. Everything new except piston and rods .All machine work done by wayne's machine shop No. Little Rock Ar. Crank was polished new cam bearings ,freeze plugs, double roller timing chain. This engine was in my tow truck when I bought it It was a replacement for 6.2 Diesel . Here's mine. http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/15619433625.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic/8261051) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/15619433729.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic/8261052) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/15619433778.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic/8261054) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/15619433768.jpg (http://www.putfile.com/pic/8261057) It's an 80 formula that I'm swapping over to a TPI/700R4 setup. I'm just looking to build a cool cruiser out of it though, something I can hop in and drive every day if I want to, nothing insane like that car. I've always loved the look of the 79-81 firebirds though. The lines on those cars are just perfect. Once you get it running, and take it to the track, I'd like to see how that thing will run with a built big block. glanga June 23rd, 2008, 12:05 AM Hey Geno.... better watch out for Christopher Walken... he doesn't like Trans Am drivers http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gd7htfeXCO4&feature=related ONEBADMK8 June 23rd, 2008, 01:25 AM Hey Geno.... better watch out for Christopher Walken... he doesn't like Trans Am drivers http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gd7htfeXCO4&feature=related Lmao! Once you get it running, and take it to the track, I'd like to see how that thing will run with a built big block. I love them too. I am thinking of a 77/78 nose though and going black & gold. This car was always and will be driven on the street on a regular basis. Power steering, full exhaust, power windows and locks, etc. Blenderhead June 23rd, 2008, 07:30 AM A lot of people prefer the 77/78 nose for some reason. I like the 79-81 nose better myself, but they both look pretty good. I haven't decided what color to paint mine yet. I've been leaning towards a light blue, but not sure. The bandit colors always looks good on a T/A, I just don't know if it would look good on a formula though. Anyway, good luck with the project, and enjoy the car. ONEBADMK8 June 23rd, 2008, 11:31 AM Yes I will thanks and good luck with yours. | ||||
