oil leak!

Smelled burning oil and found a mess around the oil filter, figured the filter might be leaking so I cleaned everything up and replaced the filter. Now, a week later I'm burning oil again and am down a half quart, the filter looks ok.
Any idea where it might be comming from? Things are pretty tight in there and I haven't seen any likely sources yet.

Either the oil filter adapter gasket or the oil pan (they're known to rot away)..?

oil filter adapter gasket for sure, cheap part pain in the ass to change, but i did it ,the new gasket has two lips around the holes, the old one has one lip and a flat surface, i think it was a factory flaw. :Beer

Thats not a flaw, it's an undocumented feature!
