I've been looking for a forum with good information on it about aftermarket parts, and it looks like I found it. The classifieds section looks like people actually have decent stuff to offer and the flow of information is going to help me out greatly. I got a 2002 LS at the beginning of the year and have big plans for it. Currently it has 20% window tint all the way around, pioneer deck, memphis speakers replacing all factory speakers, 2 10'' L7 solo barics and a memphis 1100 class d amp.

Future plans: Either full exhaust of just replace muffler, intake, new chip, 03-06 front and rear bumper. Its a heads up on rims, I know I want 20'' rims. Don't know if I want all chrome or black with a chrome lip. Either way they have to have a lip on them. Looking for a set of rims that are chrome and have a black insert (if these are even made). Upgrade brakes.

Welcome.:D :W :Beer Plenty of info and mod ideas here. Few members have gone with painted rims to match thier LS. The rims should be an easy get. The brake upgrade depends on how much you want to spend. Big brake or OEM replacement. Usual story, its all about money.

Thanks for the welcome. I have wanted one of these cars for a long time now. Told a friend of mine if he came across a Black/V8/Moonroof LS I would take it. A few months later I pull on his lot and there it sat. I am getting ready to sell all of my stereo out of the car (just bought it all within the last month), I have another vehicle for that. I got this car for the power and handling.

I have searched all over for a set of chrome 20'' rims that have an available insert that I can remove if I want to add the black rims with a chrome lip look.

My other vehicle
98 Blazer
20'' Panther Juice
Kenwood Excelon indash tv, 13'' drop down, kenwood music keg, sirius sat radio, memphis speakers in all factory locations, JL 300/2 on highs, kenwood excelon 301T on 2 10'' Kicker CVRs, Viper 791xv alarm/remote start.

Blazer looks nice. Hows the ride with the 20's?

Actually it isn't that bad. You can tell that there is a heavier set of rims on it when riding down a road that hasn't been maintained.

Welcome! Where do you live at? I see that you are from Kentucky and also that there is a UK plate on the front of that LS.

Hope those seven spoke rims are in good shape, they seam to be the ones to covet, as far as factory wheels go...
LS's are nice...enjoy!

The previous owner got to close to a few curbs. But over all they are in really good shape. They clean up really nice and the chrome has held up really well also. I wish they were the 17's, and even if they were the 17's I would still replace them with 20's. Now that you mention it I mainly see the 5 spoke LS wheels, but I wasn't aware that these were supposed to be rare.

I am in Paducah this summer so I am pretty close to you. I will keep an eye out for a first gen LS with those wheels on it!

This couldn't be any further than the truth in my opinion. I experienced the most gain with a new tune than any other engine mod. I would recommend ILLS on this forum if you decide to go with a new tune.

maybe he's referring to the chips on ebay? if not then he is mistaken due to the fact that everyone who has tuned their car has stood by it 100%

Naw, I know better then to spend 20 or 30 bucks on a chip from ebay. I could use that money in my gas tank. I need to start some research, I have seen the ILLS mentioned a few times now.
