I just picked up a 00 LS (my 2nd one) and the owner said the clock spring is out. Airbag light is on, NO HORN, NO CRUISE and worst of all, the radio works an all but you cant see the display on the radio, so no clue what station im listening to. The airbag light comes on and goes off and then comes back on and goes back off.... etc. Whats the deal here?

'Clockspring' is the electric contact arrangement under the steering wheel. It's the way that the electrical current is passed back and forth from the switches, and horn, and wheel airbag. They get out of position from wear, and have to be replaced. Common problem on LSs. You have to take the wheel off to fix it. Instructions here somewhere.

why did the previous owner take it out? Why not just replace with a new clockspring? Is that also the cause for my radio display or the clock spring is just for the airbag, horn, cruise, what else?

P/N XW4Z-14A664-AA is needed list is $111.06 and LVC is $93.29 plus shipping. What the guy might is that it is "out" as in burned out. I dont thinh they would remove it and not put another in.

I have plenty of stock.

Its not hard to replace (I did it on mine). Sounds like it would fix most of your problems, but the radio display is a differant problem...
