My basic skills in Inventor.....

Hey guys,

I don't know who is really that interested in this, but I figured I would show off some of the work Iv'e been doing for my final for this class.

Keep in mind there are ALOT of things wrong with this model, as the meaning of this course is just graphic illistration, not functionalitly. ANYWHO, It's loosley based on a Revel "visible V8 engine" model you can buy at a hobby shop.

Essentially, the only thing from the model remaining is the "short block". I layed out everyting else. In addition to the twin screw motor, I have a natually aspirated version, but unless someone wants to see em, I'll leave em off of here.

Everything was done with Autodesk Inventor 2008, on an antiquated computer, lacking the R.A.M. to even animate the Rotating assy. My home computer is ALOT better at running this program than my school computer. Kinda Sad eh?

Hope you like em.

Nice software,
Can it import any files ? .dxf or .iges ?
I have been drawing in 3d since 97 I use ESPRIT for a wire EDM.
We also have PRO E and GIBBS.
I can hunt around and see if there is a solid model for PRO E
save it as a .dfx and e-mail it.

Anyhow nice work.

OK here is a minor self applied project.

If any of you have installed gears on any ford 8.8 diff youll know what it is. :)

My Teksid block and bare cylinder heads should be back from hot tanking soon, so I'll finally be able to start on my supercharging project.

Hope you like em'

Nope, Not at all.

I still have ALOT to learn with this program. There are other people on LVC that work with parametric modeling programs like Inventor, and enjoy seeing others work.

If I wanted to get REAL fancy I'd fire up Maya, and start animating.
