Hi..I just scooped up a 97 continental 80k miles.

Theres a few problems maybe you long time owners can help me pinpoint.

1> The diagnostic port wont work with the snap on scanner,no comunication.
I checked most fuses..Pulled the relay from under the hood it was good, theres a lil diode near the pcm relay,i didnt touch.

2>the rear bangs like theres a loose muffler dont seem to be wheel bearings,or muffler...Is there something common?

3>the message check traction control wont go away.

The compressor is LOUD AS HELL for the shocks.

There is a fuse that has absolutly no power to it... called ride control

Is there any other way to scan the car?

OH the gas guage didnt work...but after i pulled the pcm relay and restart it,it worked all the sudden.
And the rear shox seemed as if they wwere super sloppy until I pulled that relay also..

Sorry so long.... HELP :)

Rear banging is swaybar bushings, rubber wrap arounders on the sway bar.
My compressor is loud also, but it works.
