Rear window problems

Hello eveybody

I have been having problems with my rear passenger side window rolling up and down. I already broke one window and didn't know the cause of it. I think now I have a handle on it. The cable for the window motor seems to be frayed and getting caught. I took the door apart:eek: and everything is a mess right now. My questions are

1. How would I replace the cable? Is it part of the window regulator?
2. Is it all one piece included with the window brace?
3. Has anyone had this problem before if so what did you do?

I will try to take some pics tonight and load them up to everyone. I might as well document everything about this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help at all.

I'm sorry I cant really help you, but i'll give some moral support. Hang in there. I know that the door has some difficult parts because when I tried to fix the drivers side lock it was a complete mess.

New window regulator. I believe the regulator and motor can be purchased separately for the rears. There was an older thread brought back to the top recently describing the process of switching it out. Should be on the first few pages.

Thanks but this is the front and it looks totally different than this.
I will try and take some pics tonight and upload them.
I have been searching high and low and I cant seem to find any info for the rear doors. I can only find tutorials on the front ones. Thanks again for the help and the quick responses.

I just called a local dealer close to me and the rear window regulator for the rear passenger side will be $50.03. It comes with everything except the motor. I will try and order the part tomorrow and try to replace it.   I'll update as much as I can.
