I'm gonna replace my injectors and was wondering a good set. Anyone know where to find the best bang for the buck?

You can find 30# injectors in a lot of V6s, including later 4.2s and 89-93 SCs. You could probably grab a set out of a couple cars in a junkyard for $50 or so.

If you need a set of 30# the the M-9593-B302 from ford racing is the way to go new....$224.00 your cost +frt

Ah.. Max would know. What is the # rating for a 04 Aviator? Thinking of a bigger MAF and injectors also.

Unless you guys need the extra fuel and air metering ability then you do not need to upgrade to bigger injectors and MAFS. Upgrading to bigger injectors will net you ZERO gain in power, throttle response, or anything. The only reason to go with bigger injectors is if you are running a crapton of bolton mods or forced induction and require the extra fueling the bigger injectors will provide. Most on this site are not running enough mods to need to upgrade injectors. Upgrading injectors on a close to stock vehicle is a complete waste of money unless you plan to really need them in the near future for an upcoming big project for the car. AKA ported heads, cams, dry nitrous shot, supercharger, turbo or so on.

Also for the air intake side you are only as strong as your weakest link. N/A vehicles really do benefit from better airflow into the engine. It raises VE (volumetric efficiency) which allows for more power. Your stocker TB is probably smaller than your stocker MAFS is anyways so upgrade that first and move onto the next bottleneck in the intake tract.

Going with bigger injectors and MAFS will also necessitate that you get a whole new full tune again which adds to the money spent too. Getting a new tune after you have upgraded items that were necessary to upgrade is fine but the injector and MAFS upgrade is not needed in most of the minor bolton cars here. Going with a MAFS that is slightly bigger in diameter might gain you a little bit but the gains will be minimal considering the money you spend on the MAFS itself and the full retune to dial in your short term fuel trims as well at WOT fueling. Your money is better spent elsewhere if you haven't got all the other real boltons yet.

If you have no forced induction plans I would stay with stock injectors.

If you already need to replace your injectors due to maintenance reasons and do plan to supercharge in the somewhat near future then stepping up to a bigger size injector will not hurt. Just know that it will require a new custom tune. What power do you plan to make once you are supercharged?

Why would you ever replace the injectors just for maintenance? They hardly ever fail, and there's nothing in them to wear out. The fuel injectors will outlast the rest of the car.

Sometimes injectors do fail. It is not often but it does occur. I consider that a maintenance item, but if you want to consider it a "mod" then thats fine. Obviously it is not a normal maintenance item like changing the oil or anything that often but the need does occur sometimes due to various reasons. It seems that this guy has had some problems with his in which case if he is replacing them and does plan to supercharge his car in the near future then it would not hurt to step up to bigger ones for the time. Usually I do not recommend stepping up as soon, but this guys situation is slightly different than most in that it sounds like he is going to have to replace his stockers anyways. Might as well not buy injectors twice.

Off the top of my head I believe the stocker Avi injectors are 24 lb/hr.
