does anyone know what the specs are for the oem sub on my 98 continental and has anyone put in a better one could i use the existing amp or not i just dont want to fill up my trunk with subs but i want something with a little more bass than the jbl it came with

80 watts probably, they used to be dual 6x9's for bass, that really sucked!!!

there is nothing you can replace the stock sub with. the box is made out of plastic, and i think it is a 6.5 inch. You are much better off with a single 8" sub like a Tang Band 8" and a small amplifier. You can also find 6x9 subs by Tang Band. Those are badass 6x9's!
