Hey all, thanks to this great forum I've just replaced my grille with a 2004 LSE grille painted silver frost to match. Its looks awesome. Now I'm contemplating replacing the front and rear bumper covers to the sport version to get rid of the chrome strips. Right now they dont look all that bad with the silver paint but I'd like a little less chrome. The labor is about $160 at a local body shop but I'll like to try to do it myself if its not too difficult. So if anyone has detailed instructions they can send me I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone has any comments or opinions on whether its worth it or not to replace the covers I welcome that also. :L

I was wondering if you had to replace the whole bumper or just pop the strips out? I have the v8 sport package, and I notice that I have the slots where the chrome strips would go.

it is a different bumper (and side marker lamps) between the sport and non-sport.
some follks simple remove the chrome strips, paint them and put them back.
a LLSOC member actualy swapped 04 LSE bumpers onto his 01 - looks pretty good.

I've thought about painting the chrome strips but I'd have to see how it looks first. I figured it wouldnt look so good. Pictures?
