Three of the four teenagers who allegedly robbed a Mastic Beach convenience store at gunpoint on Sunday are also accused of a string of recent home burglaries in the area, Suffolk police said yesterday.

Lamelle Sands and Steven Johnson, both 18, of Mastic, and Dashaun Bryant, 18, of Moriches, are accused in the burglaries and robbery, police said. Anthony Norris, 17, of Mastic, also was charged in the robbery.

All four were arrested Monday for the robbery of the Village Food Mart, which took place about 6:30 p.m. When owner Mohammad Waraich asked for identification after two of the teens attempted to buy beer, they refused and left. Minutes later, they returned with two friends, one of whom, Sands, carried a .22-caliber rifle, said Seventh Squad Det. Lt. Gerard Gigante. Another had a substance, which police said may have been Mace, and sprayed Waraich in the eyes. One of the robbers also put the owner in a headlock and punched him, Gigante said. The teens took the cash register and fled on foot. Police arrested the men the next day and found that three of them, Sands, Johnson and Bryant, were wanted in a series of burglaries in the Mastic area over the past several weeks.

Waraich was treated at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center for a cut below his right eye and released.

In a search of Sands' house, police found goods taken in the burglaries, which included jewelry, stereo equipment and cash worth thousands, Gigante said. The money from the robbery, which police said was about $2,000, has not been recovered. The rifle, which was left at the scene of the robbery, was stolen from Sands' ex-girlfriend's father, Gigante said.

Norris, of 25 Hampton Rd., is currently on probation for car theft in New York City, Gigante said. Johnson is on probation in Suffolk for criminal trespass and criminal mischief, he said, while Sands has an arrest record for misdemeanors and Bryant has no prior arrests in Suffolk.

All four were charged with first-degree robbery in connection with the Mastic Beach incident. Sands, of 154 Jefferson****, also was charged with five counts of second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and first-degree criminal use of a firearm. Johnson, of 135 Cedar Rd., also was charged with five counts of second-degree burglary. Bryant, of 68-09 Lakewood Ct., also was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary.

All four were arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip. Sands is being held on $105,000 bail, Johnson on $90,000 bail, Bryant on $25,000 and Norris on $30,000.
