Hey- i noticed something strange with my gen2 today. For the past year or so, my car has been making a loud "thunk" when going into reverse, as well as when im slowing down and coming to a stop, right around 15-20mph. It has been getting progressively worse, very loud now. I noticed today that when i turn off the overdrive, it does not make the noise while i'm slowing down! It only does it with the overdrive on. Do you guys think that my car is making this noise coming out of overdrive? it seems to make sense, but i'm not good with autos- ive had manual trannys all my life.

Also, its not the u-joints or axle shafts...thats the first place i went about a year ago. I also had my rear rebuilt with 4.10s, which didnt effect it at all. Think my trans is shot? Car has 150K on stock trans. Any input would help since im a dummy with automatics.
Why didnt these cars come with sticks?!! the supercoupes did! (even tho the 5 speeds in those were garbage)
