I've read about the under-the-seat airbag connector on this forum as it relates to DAB (drivers air bag) codes. What does an underseat connector have to do with the drivers airbag?

In my experience, the things that cause DAB codes are the module, wiring to the clockspring, the clockspring, wiring to the DAB, or the DAB itself. The underseat connectors/sensors (that I've seen) are for occupant classification or seat position sensors and carry a whole different string of codes.

Any ideas?

my airbag light came on recently with the 3-2 or 2-3 code, whichever code it is that it blinks then stays on...

this is not for the seat position itself but a seat sensor that basically senses the weight of the driver - without sensing weight in the seat the airbag will assume the driver is not in position and will not deploy the airbag.

So it is for occupant classification. Still, what does that have to do with a DAB code? This sensor would (should) have it's own code.

Unfortunately, I don't own a Lincoln. I'm looking into this for a friend that has some questions that I can't answer.
