Spring Tune Up Time, suggestions!

Ok guys,

I've came across some money and paid off all of my credit cards, bills, etc so I can finally afford to do some well needed work on the mark.

***What I've done
Changed Oil/Filter

***What I have bought already
9mm Ford Racing wires from max
autolite 764s
80mm adapter w/ k&n conical (I need an LMS icebox someone PM me, Geno I haven't seen them on the site)
Fuel filter

What else am I missing? I'd like to replace the fuel pump, 02s, as well as flush the tranny fluid/change filter. I also do NOT trust my car anywhere and would like to do as much as I can on my own. I've discovered pretty much every repair shop here are full of idiots who don't even know how to disable the air ride :Bang

So what has everyone here done to improve the mark? I'm planning on replacing the entire air ride/uca lca blah blah as well when the tax rebate comes in.

I also don't know how to do too much, but with tech articles I can anything provided I have the tools, any help would be great

Flush and fill cooling sytem.

Serpentine belt and possibly pulleys (if noisy)

Change rear differential fluid.

Change brake fluid

Change power steering fluid.

Upgrade fuel pump and fit a new fuel pressure regulator.

Change to mercon V type fluid, change filter, do 1-2 and 2-3 accumulator pistons and springs, do J mod or get shift kit, get deeper sump pan with built in drain.

Fit a 24000 GVW tranny cooler.

Front end rebulid. (uppers, lowers, tie rod ends, strut rod bushes, sway bar end links.

Replace hollow rear sway with a stiffer solid one.

All i can think of for now - these are some of the things i am in the process of researching and doing right now. (although i did brake fluid, cooling system and front end rebuild already)

do a cooler T stat when you do a coolant flush, sand down the grounds on the coil packs because they def are rusty...

i wanna do a higher stall converter, so im just going to wait to do the jmod shift kit what have you new fluid etc tranny over all maint. when its out of the car just my two cents. but if you're not going to go that route ever i would def do that right now, my buddies has the updated modded tranny and its the :q:q:q:q. the 1-2 shift is amazing at wot.

As far as the brake fluid goes, How do you remove it? Is it a simple fill & bleed until it's gone or do you need a special tool since it's anti lock?

With mine, i drained the entire system, as i was renewing some brake lines and then filled up with DOT 4 and bled in the normal way. I used the traction control to cycle the ABS to remove air from inside it, then bled at all corners again. Brakes have been great ever since.

I think, as long as you don't open up the system to let air into the ABS system, normal drain and fill procedure can be done. Remember also - diagonal split system so you bleed corner to corner. (can't remember the exact order now - may be in the archives)

I wouldn't try and change the brake fluid yourself. I would just take it to a stealership where they have the right tool to power flush it.

remember if you change the brake fluid, use the whole bottle of fluid. don't try to save the fluid cause once you break the seal mostiure will get into the brake fluid.
