Hi all, I'm new to this site but have been reading on it for about 3 hrs now.
I have a 2001 LS and in the summer the ac will run fine then all of a sudden the passenger ac will run hot. I turn it off wait abit and turn it on and it will
run fine for about 30 min and do the same thing over. Now this does not happen all the time, it is very unpredictable. Last summer had it to the dealer(when it was under warrenty) and they could not get it to do it. Hopefully someone has had this problem and can HELP me. I just love this site it has already helped me with engine light problem.

It could be the DCCV (dual climate control valve) seems to be the common problem when it happens.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is that something that HAS to go to the dealer or can you fix it yourself

You can fix it yourself if you're slightly mechanically inclined

I seem to have the same issue inside my car ;)

The center passenger vent will blow WARM air out the vent, but all other vents will be the normal cold air.
Only happens every so often, and when it does it is very annoying. Car will go from cold, to warm, and back to chilly again.

Seems like the two of us need to check the DCCV

I know I will get it checked out. My poor passengers think I am playing games with them when their vent blows hot air.
