Just curious as to the age of most LS owners...

I read somewhere that the LS targets people in the age range of 30-50, was just curious to how accurate this information was.

So don't be shy and post your age! :D

I'm 26. The LS was targeted to the 30-50 age range when they were brand new, as they were in a price range that reflected a salary that someone in that age range would be able to afford, yet the car was still 'sporty' enough to not be considered your typical Lincoln(think, old blue haired handicapped driver). Now, with the price of a used LS dropping into the $9k range, 17 year old bus boys are driving them to High School.

Most of your 30-50 yr old buyers can afford a $40k car no problem. Thats why Lincoln targets them. May LS owners are second or third owners at this point. I picked mine up 2002 used as a lease return. Let the other sucker take the 40% depreciasion hit.

As stated, the target age was for a new LS. There is no target age for a pre-owned car.

Most of your 30-50 yr old buyers can afford a $40k car no problem. That was the point. Is kinda hard to poll on Lincoln's targeted buyers when most of them have already traded or sold the car and moved on. :p Obviously as a car gets older it will cost less and a younger generation of buyers will be able to afford it.

the funny thing is i read these fourms way before i had the money together for the car and i perpared my self

i paid 1500 for a full 5 years warrenty on the car that covers everything from a little scratch to the transmisson and engine so i dont have to worry about that and another great thing i have full coverage and with my warrenty i dont need one penny for the deductable:cool:

I'm 26 and I just got mine in Feb of this year. I've wanted the car in a bad bad way since its concept came out, and have been dreaming of the day I could own one. I've always been a Lincoln man, it's just that for a long time the best I could afford was mid-80's Towncars (love those things), then I bought a Dodge (LS was still too much money for me in '03), and now have my LS.

The best part is that I got pretty much the exact LS I wanted, for an awesome price. Black on black w/out all the silver trim bits (have '03 V8 Sport).
