whiplash15 March 20th, 2008, 10:03 PM The real answer to transmission shudder is to completely drain all of the fluid including the torque converter and reservice it with Mercon 5 like the factory TSB's state.

Battery March 20th, 2008, 10:13 PM Man, I got excited and hoped you found a cheap bunch of mercon V on ebay....
AbrahamLincoln March 21st, 2008, 09:25 AM what about the upgraded pistons and springs?
kustomizingkid March 21st, 2008, 04:23 PM The pistons and spring have nothing to do with the shudder, the shudder comes complelty from the TC.
mmtphoto March 21st, 2008, 04:51 PM plus, if you get one of those 50 cent transistors that are sold for $30 on ebay (with $15 shipping to cover the 41 cent stamp) you could add another, what, 75 horsepower for your shudderless car..then, buy that hydrogen/atomic thingy for less than $1000 and get, like, 100 miles a gallon. Maybe develop some kind of water-ballon suspension to replace the troublesome air ride-there is NO END to the get-rich-quick schemes.:bsflag:

Battery March 22nd, 2008, 01:47 PM The pistons and springs are in the valve body and have nothing to do with the TC.
kustomizingkid March 22nd, 2008, 06:20 PM what does TC stand for? Torque Converter!
