manish March 19th, 2008, 11:56 AM Just wanted to say high to every one here. I'm a proud owner of a 97 deep blue Mark. I paid 1900 cash for it. New engine with less than 10k miles, no problems except for clear coat on roof and driver seat will not raise up. The car also had A alpine nav system and Alpine alarm with cd changer and a nice custom stereo installed in it from a local shop here in detroit area (Mickey shore). It runs nice, but if i let the car sit for a day or two it lowers slightly in the front but goes right up when started. The guy was a real fan of marks as he had all the paper work for the engine install, and for the oil changes (mobile 1 syn!) he also delivered the car with all the paper work as this was a lease turn in when he purchased it. I even got the sticker sheet in mint condition. He tossed in a spare rear neon panel, and a spare driver side seat moters assembly with the motors still in it. My questions is i need to fix my seat asap! i wanted to know is there a way to fix the back as it is stuck laying flat on the rear seat. is there a part i can purchase for this? also my turn signals on the mirror are intermittent, some times they work and some time just a few leds light up. and the driver side heated seat does not heat up. all of this he disclosed before i even saw the car. i'm thinking its a short. He also couldn't figure out why he was getting the code flashed via the airbag indicator 1 2. I know that means battery was disconneted. how do i clear that code? Yes I will take some pics of her and post it tonight. Any info will be helpful. I just wanted to say that the guy who name is marvin, delivered the car in such a way i felt i just brought a new lexus! he came to my house and looked very professional. he demo'd the car features and also had the boxes and stuff for the aftermarket equipment. Also he took time to make sure i was happy with the car. I used to work for an infiniti dealership in lisle,Il when i was in college and i felt i got the same treatment.
ps i tried the search but no help.

manish March 19th, 2008, 12:21 PM My bad, I had meant to post this in the right forum but i'm at work and stepped away from my desk and returned and forgot what froum i left up on my screen. again sorry and thanks for the move.
Sal329 March 19th, 2008, 12:23 PM Why oh why can I not find a deal like this locally... Congrads on the purchase.
manish March 19th, 2008, 12:43 PM I know of a blk on blk gen II for 3995 at a small dealership here but i bet they would take 2500-2999 for it. Here most people shy away from them because they think of the dreaded air suspension and that it will cost about 3k to fix. Most dont realize there are companies that make better and cheaper airbags.

They are out there. A lot of pristine ones going for cheap. Just keep your eyes open. ;)

Dark_Majesty_06 March 20th, 2008, 12:04 PM Thats beautiful... :D Can I have your car? I'll give you mine and 1 dollar.. maybe 1.50... LOL. Either way.. your car is beautiful! I love how it looks.. and your interior is much classier than mine.. Question though.. I'm wanting a Flip out screen dvd/cd/gps.. i'm assuming that the cd player doesn't mount all the way in the hole?
slowmkviii March 20th, 2008, 12:12 PM Beautifull only this I dont like is the crome grill and the huge screen in the dash
manish March 20th, 2008, 01:52 PM Hey i agree with you! I want to get a extra grill and have it painted the same color blue as the car. And the head unit came with the car, although it is a nav unit and fully loaded, i want a double din unit. to me it looks way better and it looks more factory. And thanks to all for the complements! I was so excited to get this for the price i feel asleep inside it the first night, i didn't wake up until i turned on my side...lol :D
Danlboi March 20th, 2008, 03:09 PM Man...that sure is a "purdy" car...love that blue...congrats!
slowmkviii March 20th, 2008, 03:27 PM I would like to see a grill where the outer edge it body color and the gill fins are left crome
NYC LS8 March 20th, 2008, 03:28 PM That thing is CLEAN!
But what's up with that 80's benzi box lookin' head unit? :D
manish March 20th, 2008, 03:37 PM thats why that head unit is coming out. Now if you got a a extra grille laying around I would try that idea! blue with chrome...hmmmmm;)
Sal329 March 20th, 2008, 05:12 PM Im more jealous now after seeing the pics lol. That is a great color combo.
manish March 20th, 2008, 05:55 PM Dark_Majesty_06 ... I'm sorry i didn't answer your question. I didn't install it, but i will ask the previous owner about it and i will post the answer here.
manish March 24th, 2008, 02:53 AM Dark_Majesty_06 the headunit is actually further in the dash so no it's not flush, its actually installed further in. hopes this helps you out.
turborich March 24th, 2008, 04:08 AM You got one heck of a deal on that beauty! Take good care of her!
Frat-man-du March 24th, 2008, 06:54 AM You can fix the seat, but it may require a bit of welding. Had this in a T-Bird and the pivot joint closest to the center console had broken.
The airbag light is most likely a bad 'clock spring'. Fairly common repair.
Great price! Great color! Congrats.
mmtphoto March 24th, 2008, 08:23 PM Looks like a great deal-Nice!
