Both of my headlight lenses have gone bad on my 97 base model. I think the heat from the lights themselves burned away at the plastic over time. Both of the dealerships I have called quoted me around 375 each for the entire headlight assembly including the bulbs and HID unit. I dont need these, does anyone know where I can get just the lense and backpeice?

I think you have to purchase the whole headlight assembly. You can either try ebay (have seen ALOT of the 97-98 housings there recently), or you can try www.car-parts.com .

If the lens' are just dingy or yellowed, these can be buffed out with plastic polish and a buffer wheel for a drill. Did it for my son's '90 T-bird, worked great. If they are burnt that sucks, I'm guessing you mean burnt as in blackened?

If nothing else call Max at FiveStarFord. He is one of the supporting vendors here and will get you some of the best prices on parts. I just got a headlight from him and I am quite pleased!
